I don’t how anyone over the age of about 13 is a fan of pop music these days (at least groups like S Club and Busted actually did good music)
It’s like going “Hey, I don’t want to listen to great music by artists who spend hundreds of hours perfecting their music” and instead going “Actually I want to listen with mediocre lyrics, and really the only reason I’m listening to this is because the record label hired a good PR person to advertise them”
With things like Spotify and YouTube and Rdio and facebook there is so many ways to discover new music, and find up and coming artists, but people still are stuck in the cycle of listening to One Direction, etc.
